Linda M. Mikulenka
Beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister, born February 12, 1949 in Houston, Texas to Hubert & Jessie Mikulenka; passed from her earthly life December 15, 2009 in Baytown, Texas surrounded by her loving family.
Linda has been a resident of the Highlands area for the past six years; she grew up in Port Lavaca, Texas where she participated in the local high school rodeo in barrel racing and beauty pageants. Linda loved horses, to dance and most of all she loved her family & friends, and was regarded as having the most charming personality and a passion for life.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Welborn; father, Hubert Mikulenka; mother, Jessie Cude Jansky.
She is survived by her children, Jeania Knopik & husband Brian of Crosby, Texas, Tashia Matlock of Beaumont, Texas, Kenneth Matlock & wife Kristy of Marshall, Texas, Joseph Triola of Baytown, Texas, Tonya Kostka & husband David of Highlands, Texas; seventeen grandchildren; one great-grandchild; sister, Mary Garbe & husband Tommy of Port Lavaca, Texas, brothers, Michael Mikulenka from Austin, Texas, Gene Mikulenka of Conroe, Texas, William Mikulenka & wife LaWanda of El Campo, Texas and David Mikulenka of San Diego, California; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
Visitation will be on Friday, December 18, 2009 from 6-9PM at Sterling-White Funeral Home 11011 Crosby-Lynchburg Rd. Highlands, TX 77562.
Funeral Services are Saturday, December 19, 2009 at 11 AM at Sterling-White Funeral. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
