Linda Sue Sanders Wise
Linda Sue Sanders Wise, a native and resident of Winnfield, La., she passed away on April 15, 2012 after a brief illness. She was 68. Her quick wit and keen intelligence were admired by all. She graduated Valedictorian of Winnfield High School Class of 1961. She lived for five years with husband Les Wise in Yokohama, Japan, a country she always loved. She worked in the legal and real estate industry in Winnfield La., and Shreveport, La. She retired from Time Warner Cable of Shreveport.
She is survived by daughters, Kimberly Wise Singletary and husband Scott of Baton Rouge, La., Michele Wise Duet and husband David of Shreveport, La.; beloved grandchildren Justin Turner of Texarkana, Tx., Anna Singletary and Emma Scott Singletary of Baton Rouge, La. She is also survived by sisters Dorothy Sanders Skains, JoAnn Sanders Machen and husband Hershel, and Sharon Sanders Brewton all of Winnfield. La., Also survived by nephews and nieces, James ``Skipper'' Skains of Winnfield, La., Trey Machen of Jonesboro, Ark., Alana Brewton of Baton Rouge, La., and Page Brewton of Abita Springs, La. She will be missed by her beloved canine companion, ``Lucky''.
Graveside services will be held 10:00 a.m., Saturday, April 21, at Old Union Baptist Church Cemetery in Joyce, La.,
She was preceded in death by her parents Henry and Ruie Sanders and nieces Cynthia Skains and Debbie Skains.
The family wishes to sincerely thank Dr. S. Michelle Self, her long-term physician, Hospice of Baton Rouge and Staff, especially Kathryn Grisby and Dr. Guido DeJesus for their compassion and care.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Baton Rouge or St. Jude Children's Hospital.
