Lizabeth M. Ellsworth

Lizabeth M. Ellsworth, age 69 and a resident of Biloxi, died Thursday, November 6, 2003 in Gulfport.

Mrs. Ellsworth was a native of Lucedale and a life-long resident of the Mississippi Gulf Coast. She had worked at the Daily Herald for many years, was the press secretary for the Harrison County Family Court and had also worked at Keesler Air Force Base Hospital, and the Biloxi and Gulfport VA Hospitals.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wesley Y. Ellsworth, her parents, Lee and Lucille McDaniel and her son-in-law, Mark Craig.

Survivors include her five children, Mariann Clayburg and husband, Darrell of Gulfport, Bennie Craig of Gulfport, Lee W. Ellsworth and wife, Michelle of D'Iberville, Scott K. Ellsworth and wife, Teri of Gulfport, and Dawn E. Layton and husband, Greg of Marietta, GA; one brother, Robert Lee McDaniel of Picayune; Ten grandchildren, Stephanie Lynn Craig, Benjamin Michael Craig, and Elizabeth Ann Craig, all of Gulfport, Candace Delayne Ellsworth of Wichita, Kansas, Hannah Jordan Ellsworth of D'Iberville, Britny Nicole Ellsworth of Ocean Springs, Kendall Breanne Ellsworth of Seville, Ohio, Kelcie Leeanne Ellsworth of Seville, Ohio, Jonathan Wesley Layton and Zachary Tyler Layton, both of Marietta; and one great-grandchild, Osanna Elise Craig of Gulfport.

The funeral service will be at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, November 8, 2003 at Riemann Funeral Home, 25th Ave., Gulfport, where friends may call two hours prior to service time. Interment will follow in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens and Mausoleum in Gulfport.
