Lizzie Ruth Lester
(May 17, 1918 - May 11, 2009)

Mrs. Lizzie Ruth (Fletcher) Lester, age 90, of Dry Prong, La., passed away Monday, May 11, 2009, at her residence in Dry Prong, La. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Dry Prong.

Mrs. Lester was the daughter of the late Albert T. Fletcher and the late Caroline Elizabeth (Jones) Fletcher. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Bill Lester; two sons, Shelton and Jerry Lester; and her grandson, Johnny Lester.

She is survived by her:

two daughters, Billie Hayes of Winnfield, La. Shirley Maxey of Dry Prong, La.;

two sons, Fred Lester of Foley, Ala. Bobby Lester of Pineville, La.;

one sister, Janice Begley of Greenville, S.C.;

one brother, Harvey Fletcher of California;

eighteen grandchildren, Darleen, Carolyn, Randall, Tonya, Eddie, Lisa, Arlene, Michael, Bonnie, Connie, Jerry, Bill, J.R., Renee, Bobbie, Russell, Ashley, and Kirk.

Services are under the direction of Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield, La., where the family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday, May 12, 2009 and from 8:00 AM to service time Wednesday, May 13, 2009. Funeral services will be held at Southern Funeral Home at 10:00 AM Wednesday, May 13, 2009, with Rev. Lloyd Whitman officiating. Interment will be at Dry Prong Cemetery in Dry Prong, La.
