BASS SR., LLOYD HUGH

Retired owner of B&B Auto Salvage, Walker, and a resident of Denham Springs, he died at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 8, 1998, at his home. He was 70 and a native of Liberty, Miss. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. Visiting at Seale Funeral Home, Denham Springs, 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and after noon Sunday. Religious services at the funeral home chapel at 3 p.m. Sunday, conducted by the Rev. Austin Crehan Jr. and the Rev. Bobby Ritchie. Interment in Salem Cemetery, Walker.

Survived by wife, Mary L. Bell Bass; four daughters and three sons-in-law, Lynn Bass and David Gallman, Walker, Donna Bass and Jim McChristian, Denham Springs, Pamela Bass and Steve Oliphant and Marilyn Bass Hutchinson, all of Walker; three sons and a daughter-in-law, Lloyd H. Jr. and Becky Bass, Walker, Randy E. Bass Sr., Pine Grove, and David L. Hutchinson, Walker; two brothers, Robert L. and Delos L. Bass, both of Walker; 14 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews; a sister-in-law, Alma B. Talley, Denham Springs; and three cousins, Claude Freeman, Liberty, Hilda Smith, Kentwood, and Norma Jean Martin, LaPorte, Texas.

Preceded in death by parents, Market H. and Aler Freeman Bass; an infant brother; and a grandson, Market Emery Bass.

Pallbearers will be Jim McChristian, Jim Rush, Ricky Bass, David Gallman, Billy Barker, Tommy Cockerham, Willie Falks and Mark Bass. Honorary pallbearers are F.D. Hilbun, D.A.
