Lloyd M. Parker
JONESVILLE -- Funeral services for Lloyd M. Parker, 25, of Jonesville were held at 2 p.m. today at the Sandy Lake Pentecostal Church near here, with the Revs. W. D. Thompson, Everett Mayo and E. L. Johnson officiating. Burial followed in the Heard Cemetery near Mansfield under the direction of Comer Funeral Home of Ferriday.
Parker died at the Veterans Hospital in Alexandria Wednesday morning following a short illness.
Mr. Parker, a lifelong resident of Sandy Lake Community near here, was discharged from the U.S. Army last February and had been stationed in Alaska.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Flonnie Brown Parker; a daughter, Miss Misti Regena Parker; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Felton A. Parker; two brothers, J. C. Parker and Donald Ray Parker, all of Jonesville; and four sisters, Mrs. Lucy Hughes of Harrisonburg, Mrs. Ernestine Mason, Mrs. Joyce Patten, both of Enterprise, and Miss Carol Parker of Jonesville.
Pallbearers were Jack Gallup, Milton Posey, Derwin Ewing, Bobby Squyres, Melvin Tolbert and Clifford Tolbert.
