Lloyd Monroe Burch

TEXAS CITY -- Lloyd Monroe Burch, 61, of Texas City, passed away Tuesday, July 20, 2004, at Mainland Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held 10 a.m., Saturday, July 24, 2004, at Emken-Linton Funeral Home with Pastor Doug McBrayer officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Park East Cemetery in Webster. Visitation will be 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Mr. Burch was born April 1, 1943, in Winnfield, Louisiana. He graduated from Texas City High School and was a machinist for Amoco Chemical (BP) for 31 years. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force for 4 years.

He is preceded in death by his father, Arnold Burch; his mother and step-father, Lurline and Sam Gates; and his brother, Jerry Malone of Omaha, Nebraska.

Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Nancy Burch, of Texas City; son Wade Burch and wife Lisa of Murray Hill, New Jersey; daughter Missy Burch of Dallas; brother James Burch and wife Susan of Santa Fe, Texas; sister Geraldine Curry of Buffalo, Missouri; mother-in-law Dorothy Gray of Lipan, Texas; brother-in-law Henry Walker and wife Donna of Lipan, Texas; numerous aunts, uncles, other relatives and many friends.

Lloyd was a wonderful husband, father, son and friend to many. He will be greatly missed by all.
