Rites Not Yet Set For Loiet Crum

Loiet Crum, 56, of 3614 Tecumseh st., died at 6:38 p.m. yesterday at Our Lady of the Lake sanitarium following an extended illness.

A resident of Baton Rouge for the past 30 years, he was employed at Esso Standard Oil Co. in the pipefitters' department. He was a member of the Church of Christ and a veteran of World War I.

He is survived by his wife, the former Velma Achord; four sons, S1/c Loiet, jr., San Francisco, Lawrence, Bogue Chitto, Miss., Pfc. Jack, Biloxi, and Elvin, [Baton] Rouge; one daughter, Miss Elaine Crum, Baton Rouge; two sisters, Mrs. I. W. Gore, Central, and Mrs. Hardy Whittington, Denham Springs.

The body is at Welsh funeral home pending completion of funeral arrangements.

Rites Slated Today For Loiet Crum

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. today for Loiet Crum, 56, who died Sunday night after a long illness.

The body will be taken from Welsh funeral home at 2:40 to the Church of Christ for services. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial park.
