Mrs. E. McGinty Succumbs; Rites At Mount Zion

Lois Ashby McGinty, 53, of Montgomery died Wednesday, October 25, 1967 at 7 p.m. in a Winnfield hospital after a short illness. She was the wife of E. M. McGinty, president of the Winn Parish School Board.

A native of McKinney, Texas, Mrs. McGinty was a member of the Mt. Zion Methodist Church.

She is also survived by her mother, Mrs. Julia Ashby of McKinney, Tex.; a daughter, Patty Sue McGinty of Montgomery; three brothers, Dearmon Ashby of McKinney, Tex., F. F. Ashby of Wills Point, Tex., and Jim Ashby of Dallas, Tex.; three sisters, Mrs. Larella Holcomb of McKinney, Tex., Mrs. Betty Vest of Dallas, Tex., and Mrs. Joe Cunningtubby of Tulsa, Okla.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. in Mount Zion Methodist Church with Revs. Fred Campbell and Dell Durand officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery under direction of Southern Funeral Home in Winnfield.

Pallbearers were Glenn Futch, R. L. Terry, J. W. Barr, Edward Chandler, John Keiffer, and Henry Keiffer.

Honorary pallbearers were members of the Winn Parish School Board.
