Lois Emmons

Lois Erma Walker Emmons, 96, a native of Clearwater and a resident of Houma, went to be with the Lord, at 2:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 25, 2011 at Terrebonne General Medical Center.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time Monday at Coteau Baptist Church. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the church, with burial at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Gray.

She is survived by one daughter, Carmen Foster and son, Ray of Houma; four granddaughters, Ramona Herman and husband, Dan, of Vinton, Patty Minter, Penny Landry, Diana Guidroz all of Houma and Cindy Lirette of New Orleans; four step-grandchildren; Bill Emmons and wife, Kendra, Janet Wells and husband, Jerry, Michael Emmons, and Blake Emmons; 10 great-grandchildren, Josh Cormier, Kristi Clark and husband, Brandon, Laura Landry, David Lee Guidroz, Dodie Guidroz, Dylan Guidroz, Blaine Prestenbach, Brent Prestenbach, Malarie Lirette and Myla Lirette; three great-great-grandchildren, Brandon Clark, Emma Clark and Annabelle Clark; one sister, Ivy Spears of Belle Chasse; one brother-in-law, Wallace Emmons of St. Martinville; and two special friends, Glenn Wilkins and Shawn Hebert.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence S. Emmons of Clearwater; her parents, Robert and Ruby Walker; three sisters; two brothers; and one son-in-law, Sam Foster.

She was a member of Coteau Baptist Church of Houma.
