BOSSIER CITY, LA -- Services will be conducted at Centuries Funeral Home Chapel for Lois Leola Durison, age 95 of Bossier City, La. on Thursday, August 2, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. Officiating will be Rev. Ray Raney of First Baptist Church of Bossier. The graveside services will follow in Centuries Memorial Park. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Mrs. Durison was a life long resident of the Shreveport/ Bossier City area. She was the owner and operator of Lois's Beauty Salon for many years. Most of all she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Manlus Thompson and Bertha Roberta Thompson; one son, Talmadge Curtis Richey; one daughter, Bertha Jeanette Arnold; two sisters, Nerissa Joseph and Maudene Dark; two brothers, Horathio and Russell Thompson.
She is survived by two granddaughters, Kandalyn Franks and husband Michael, and Deborah Cope and husband Collin, Sr.; great-grandchildren, Jacob Franks, Collin Cope, Jr., and Elizabeth Cope; nephew, Douglas Dark and wife Jo and numerous other nieces and nephews.
The family would like to especially thank caregivers Mary Scaglione and Opal East for their loving care.
