LOIS WHITTINGTON DAIGLE
Lois Whittington Daigle was born on Sept. 20, 1920, to Robert H. Whittington and Ellen Anders Whittington in the Oxford community near Gloster, Miss. She died Saturday, April 23, 2011, at Forrest General Hospital, Hattiesburg, Miss. Mrs. Daigle resided at Pine Meadows Alzheimer Facility, Hattiesburg, and was of the Catholic faith.
She is survived by a sister, Elaine Tregre, of Baton Rouge; four children and their spouses, Ronald and Sharon Daigle, of Walker; Gregory and Aleata Daigle, of Petal, Miss.; Deidre and John Harper, of Petal; and Sheilah "Jo" and Dan Saulters, of Seminary, Miss.; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ted E. Daigle; four brothers, Earl, Clem, Dale and Howell Whittington; and three sisters, Ottamise Williams, Bernice Whittington and Lena Jones.
Visitation at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd., Baton Rouge, and Thursday at 9 a.m. until religious service at 10 a.m. Interment in Greenoaks Memorial Park.
