SUNSET -- Lola Joyce Brady Thompson Wayman, daughter of Ira Lee Brady, Sr. and Myrtle Helen Hedelius, died January 4, 2007.
Joyce was born January 13, 1926 in Ogden, Utah. She had one brother, Ira Lee Brady (Ann Stout) and two sisters, Helen Foxx (Andrew) and Donna Odekirk (Thomas).
She married Kenneth W. Thompson. They had two sons, Kenneth Ira Thompson (Boise, ID and Daniel Lee Thompson, who lived only two days. They were later divorced.
She later married William George Wayman, who died April 15, 1999. They had one daughter, Joyce Ruth Wayman (Ogden, UT).
Joyce was truly a devoted mother, she loved her children unconditionally. She also loved other children and was a foster parent for many children for many years. Many of her foster children still kept in contact with her. She always had many phone calls and cards on Mother's Day from ``her kids''.
Joyce lived in Sunset and enjoyed wonderful neighbors. They were especially kind and thoughtful when she became ill. She had been a resident of Wasatch Care Center since August. She was very happy and contented there. She felt loved and cared for by all of the staff and the friends she made with the other residents.
She is survived by her son and daughter; siblings; two nieces and one nephew; one granddaughter, Kandice Anne Thompson Atkins (Shawn); one great-grandson; two step-grand-children, James Ray Miller and Dawn Marie Miller; and seven step-great-grandchildren.
The family wishes to thank both Joyce's neighbors, especially Bill, Geri and Carolyn for their kindness and the staff at Wasatch Care Center for their loving care of Joyce.
