Lona Hill McDonald
Funeral services for Lona Hill McDonald, 84, of Mangham were held Friday at Baskin Baptist Church with the Rev. Marion Spence and the Rev. Larry Jammes officiating.
Interment followed at Reagan Cemetery in Baskin under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home of Rayville.
Mrs. McDonald died Tuesday, Dec. 26, 2000 at Richland Medical Center in Rayville following a lengthy illness.
Mrs. McDonald was a member of the Baskin Baptist Church. She was a retired cashier at Ratcliff Food stores, and co-owner/operator of Mack's Minnows.
Mrs. McDonald was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, C. M. McDonald, parents, Mr. and Mrs. Grover Hill and one brother, James Hill.
Survivors include a daughter, Kathryn McDonald, Mangham; son and daughter-in-law, Richland Parish Sheriff Charles M. McDonald Jr. and Suanne McDonald, Archibald; grandchildren, Matthew McDonald, Adam McDonald, and Patrick McDonald; sisters, Bernice Boydstun, Natchitoches; Ann Jones, Denver, Colo.; Mozelle Bengston, Salina, Kansas; Maxine Wiggins and Geraldine Hill, both of Rayville; brothers, G. H. Hill and Tom Hill, Grant Hill, all of Rayville; Eugene Hill, Archibald; Billy Hill and Dock Hill, both of Mangham.
Nephews served as pallbearers.
Memorials may be made to the Louisiana Baptist Children's Home or the Gideons International.
