CLAYTON (Special) -- Funeral Services for L. E. (Jack) Hootsell, 70, of Clayton were held at 10:30 a.m. today in the chapel of Young's Funeral Home of Ferriday with the Rev. Art Baker officiating.
Burial was in the Old Pine Hill Cemetery near Sicily Island.
Mr. Hootsell died at 4 p.m. Sunday at the Concordia Parish Hospital after a lengthy illness.
He was a lifelong resident of Clayton. He was a retired block builder and a member of the Methodist Church.
Survivors include one son, Herman Hootsell of Clayton; two sisters, Mrs. Marcella Loonis and Mrs. Carrie Edna McClure, both of Clayton and four grandchildren.
Pallbearers were J. T. Scruggs, William Wheat, Wayne Patterson, Jack Chandler, Ed Davis and Billie Coldiron.
