No one loves you like your mother, and no mother ever loved her family more than Lora Kincade.

Mrs. Lora, as she was affectionately known by friends and co-workers, was born in Dodson, LA on July 18, 1940. Mrs. Lora moved to West Monroe in 1956 when she married her husband of 54 years, Robert Kincade. Mrs. Lora was a stay at home wife and mother until her two children went to school. In 1967 she went to work for Bancroft Bag. During her 35 year tenure with Bancroft, she became Bancroft's first female shift supervisor. In 2002, Mrs. Lora retired from Bancroft Bag when she was diagnosed with ovarian cancer.

Mrs. Lora fought a mighty battle against ovarian cancer with the help of Dr. Dean Stockstill, Dr. Scott Barron and the North Louisiana Cancer Center, and Dr. Pedro Rameriz and the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston.

Mrs. Lora was preceded in death by her father, Preston Stewart, mother, Alta Stewart Mobley, and brother, Johnny Ray Jones. She is survived by her Husband Robert Kincade, daughter and son-in-law, Shelley and Cregg McCullin of West Monroe, son and daughter-in-law, Charles & Mary Kincade of West Monroe, sister and brother-in-law Mary Lou and Joe Liberty of Joilet, Il brother and sister-in-law, James and Jackie Stewart of Burnsville, MS, brother and sister-in-law, Lynn and Sharon Stewart of Joliet, IL, sister-in-law, Dee Jones of Houston, TX, sister-in-law and brother-in-law Carl and Ramona Steinbeck of West Monroe, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and beloved pets.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 17th, from 5:00 -7:00 p.m. at Griffin Funeral Home located at 7427 Cypress Street, West Monroe. A private family graveside service will be held on Sunday at the Hoods Mill Cemetery in Jackson Parish.

Mrs. Lora will be remembered as a hardworking woman that always put her family first. She was a wonderful cook, seamstress, and homemaker. She had a love for all animals and was a proud life time member of the River Cities Humane Society for Cats.

It was Mrs. Lora's wish that donations be made to the River Cities Humane Society for Cats, 5302 Desiard St. Monroe, LA 71203, in lieu of flowers. The family would like to express thanks to the nursing staff at Cornerstone Hospital and to all friends & family who helped take care of Mrs. Lora during her final days.
