Lorena Park Harris

Mrs. Lorena Park Harris, 96, former resident of Crestland Drive, died Wednesday, July 9, 2003 at Alterra Sterling House.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Saturday at Rose Hill Cemetery with Rev. Buddy Roberts officiating. The family will visit with friends Saturday after 9:30 A.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home. Notes of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.oakesandnichols.com.

The Maury County native was the daughter of the late George William Park and Maude Pinkston Park. She was married to Ewing Harris who preceded her in death September 12, 1973. She was a graduate of Columbia Central High School and had been employed as a secretary at Jersey Pride Creamery and Columbia Paving Company. She was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Lula Mae Crabtree and Mrs. Polly Lovell both of Columbia; two nephews, Edward Park and George ``Buzz'' Lovell; five nieces, Mrs. Barbara Park Schwarrer, Mrs. Jeanne Dillehay, Mrs. Polly Wicarius, Mrs. Suzanne Hall, Mrs. Phyllis Maley; great-niece Michelle Lanius and several more great nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be W.D. Turner, Gregg Pryor, Bruce Maley, David Hall, Will Lanius, John Lovell, Logan Lovell and William Osborne. Honorary pallbearers will be elders and deacons of Westminster Presbyterian Church.
