LORETTA ALBERTA BUSH
1923 - 2010

Loretta Alberta Bush, age 87, died Monday, May 17, 2010, at the Health Center of Pensacola after a long illness. A native of Saucier, Mississippi, Mrs. Bush was born in 1923 and had resided in Pensacola since 1941.

She was preceded in death by the 1994 demise of her husband, Burruss Clayton Bush, a World War II veteran of the Army Air Corps.

Mrs. Bush was a devoted homemaker who enjoyed creating wonderful meals for her loved ones and tending to them in times of sickness and in times of health.

She is survived by one son, Larry Bush of Pensacola, and two daughters, Lana Downey and Rhonda Pate and their respective spouses Mike Downey and Michael Pate, all of Pensacola; four grandsons, Jimmy Cross, Jr., Jeffrey Cross, and Adam Pate, all of Pensacola, and Colin Bush of Seattle, Washington; and two great-granddaughters, Terry Jeanne Cross and Nicole Gardner of Pensacola. Also surviving Mrs. Bush are her two sisters, Gladys Flurry of Vestry, Mississippi, and Hattie Davis of Sumrall, Mississippi, and several nieces and nephews in Florida and Mississippi.

Visitation will be held on Friday, May 21, 2010, from 9:30 to 10:00 at Eastern Gate Memorial Funeral Home in Pensacola, after which graveside services and interment will be held at 11:00 a.m. at Barrancas National Cemetery, beside the final resting place of her late husband. The Reverend Dale Patterson will officiate.
