Lorraine Anders Winborn

Funeral services for Lorraine Anders Winborn, of Brookhaven, will be held at a later date. Riverwood Family Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Winborn, 93, died Nov. 25, 2010, at Golden Living Center - Brook Manor. She was born in Amite County on Jan. 14, 1917, to James Gray Anders and Lillian Wilkerson [sic Wilkinson] Anders.

She was a former co-owner of a flower shop in Gloster. She also worked with the United States government at the Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma, where she had top secret documents clearance. During World War II, she worked at the Keesler Air Force Base in Gulfport, and with the U.S. Engineers in Baton Rouge, La., and Montgomery, Ala. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Brookhaven.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Earl Dean Winborn; her brothers, John Richard Anders and James Gray Anders Jr.; and her sister, Ethel ``Sis'' Anders Hartman.

Survivors are her nieces, Gretchen Hartman Beall, of Avon, Ind., Laurie Anders Baker, of New Orleans, La., and Margaret Anders Richardson, of Brandon; and her sister-in-law, Felice Anders, of McComb.
