Lottie Mae Callendar
Lottie was born in Crisp, Texas to George Paul and Mary Elizabeth (Goodman) Wilkerson. After finishing high school, she received LVN training at W. C. Tennery Hospital in Waxahachie. Lottie married Victor Callendar October 15, 1964 in Amarillo, Texas. She was the route manager for the Borger News Herald for twelve years before moving back to Cumby, Texas. Lottie was a member of the First Baptist Church and a resident of Renfro Health and Rehab Center where she enjoyed Holy Fire Ministries.
Mrs. Callendar is survived by three daughters, Pat and Don Henley of Waxahachie, Shirley and Roger Parker of Seattle, Washington, and Brenda Jean of Mansfield; one son, Wayne Callendar of Cumby, Texas; daughter-in-law, Frances Callendar of Nebraska; one brother, Gene Wilkerson and wife Mary Ann of Rowlett; one sister, Marie Dyess and husband Bill of Ennis; eleven grandchildren, Susan Henley, Mark Henley, Jesse Baggen, Chrystal Hall-Doyle and husband Jim, Wendy Sheets and husband Doug, Jamie Callendar, Kirk McClendon, Kathy McClendon, Brian Callendar, Amy Taft, Christy Callendar, and eleven great grandchildren. Her parents, her husband, one sister, two brothers, two sons, and one daughter preceded her in death.
The family will receive friends and relatives from 4 to 6 PM Sunday evening, October 8, 2006 at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home. The Celebration of Life will be 10 AM Monday, October 9, 2006 in the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel with Dr. Leroy Fenton officiating. Interment will follow in the Mountain Peak Cemetery with Pastor Crickett Steele officiating. Pallbearers will be Chip Wilkerson, Donnie Wilkerson, Fred Nicholson, Wayne Dyess, Mark Henley and Justin Dyess.
