Mrs. Jim Twomey Buried Thursday In Old Center

Mrs. Louie Gomillion Twomey died suddenly Tuesday, September 28, at her home in Old Center community.

Mrs. Twomey was born in Eastland County, Texas September 9, 1891, but had lived most of her live in Panola County. She married Jim Twomey in May of 1909.

She is survived by her husband, two daughters, Mrs. R. Q. Boyd of Old Center and Mrs. Chester Pills of Woods Community; one sister, Mrs. Gussie McLemore of Houston; six grandchildren. A son, John Henry Twomey, preceded her in death twenty-two years ago.

The Rev. R. L. Hooper of Tenaha and the Rev. Fred Lawrence officiated at funeral services held at the Old Center Baptist Church Thursday afternoon. Burial was in the Old Center Cemetery under the direction of Hawthorn Funeral Home.

Pallbearers were Llelwyn Twomey, Robert Twomey Jr., Julian Peddy, Lee Bryant, Harold Holt, Buddy Bryant, Willie Pitts, Delbert Twomey.
