L. A. Kirksey Sr., Dies; Rites Pending

L. A. Kirksey Sr., 72, of Star Rt. 3 died in his home Saturday at 5 p.m.

Funeral arrangements are pending at London-Burton Funeral Home.

A native of Brown County, he was born Feb. 20, 1886. A stock farmer, he was a member of Jenkins Spring Baptist Church. He had lived in the county all his life.

Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Myrtle Kirksey; one son, Louis A. Kirksey Jr., Brownwood; five daughters, Mrs. D. L. Wagnon, May, Mrs. T. W. Dennis, Fort Worth, Mrs. A. W. Bouge, Sherman, Mrs. E. E. Blankenhagen, Manhatten, Kans., and Mrs. J. E. McLeod, Fort Worth; four sisters, Mrs. May Collie, Mrs. Marvin Flowers, Mrs. Betty Curry and Mrs. Virginia Taylor, all of Brownwood; three brothers, Lester and J. V. of Brownwood and G. E. Kirksey, Houston; 12 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
