Louis G. Thomas Sr.

CARYLSS -- Graveside services for Louis G. Thomas Sr., 96, of Sulphur, will be at 4 p.m. today, Feb. 2, in Mimosa Pines Cemetery.

The Rev. Richard Hoffpauir will officiate. Arrangements are by Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home.

Mr. Thomas died Thursday, Jan. 31, 2002, in a Livingston, Texas, care center.

He was a native of Ringo and had lived in Sulphur most of his life. He retired from Cities Service Refinery as an operator in 1951. He was an elder and an usher at Henning Memorial Methodist Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Mary Grace Worrell of Dayton, Texas, and Yvonne Mittag of Chester, Texas; one brother, L.B. Thomas of Shreveport; two sisters, Octavia Smith and Gladys Pitt, both of Shreveport; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
