Mrs. Louise (Fox) Reeves
SHREVEPORT, LA -- Mrs. Louise (Fox) Reeves, age 91, of Shreveport, La., passed away Tuesday, December 2, 2008, at Spring Lake Guest Care Center in Shreveport, La. She was a member of Broadmoor United Methodist Church. Mrs. Reeves was a resident of Shreveport for the past three years and a former resident of Winnfield, La.
Services are under the direction of Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield, La., where the family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM Friday, December 5, 2008. Graveside services will be held at Mars Hill Cemetery, near Verda, La., at 11:30 AM Friday, December 5, 2008 with Rev. Sandra Huber of Hospice Shreveport/Bossier officiating.
Mrs. Reeves was born January 9, 1917 to Rev. and Mrs. Noah Fox in Winn Parish. She was a well known seamstress for many years. She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Lowery Reeves and LeRoy Deas; a daughter, Katherine; and three brothers.
Those left to cherish her memory are: Two Sons, Bill Reeves and special daughter-in-law Lynn Avinger Reeves of Shreveport, La.; Dale Reeves and wife Janette of Jacksonville, Fla.; Granddaughter, Julie Cummings and husband Crandell of Keithville, La.; Great Grandchildren, Crandell and Christina Cummings of Keithville, La.; Two Sisters, Ann Newsom, Odessa Reeves; Three Brothers, J. C. Fox, Norris Fox, Deloy Fox; Many cousins, nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank Springlake Guest Care for their love and support. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Broadmoor Methodist Church Building Fund.
