Jenkins, Louise

Louise Jenkins, 85, Lincoln, died Monday (9-19-11). Born (3-20-26) in Longview, Texas to Homer E. and Edna (Hamilton) Owens. Retired bookkeeper, LT&T Company. Member: White Oak Baptist Church, Texas, Telephone Pioneers Association. Enjoyed gardening and animals. A very accomplished seamstress. Loved her family very much. Family and friends were very important to her.

Family members include daughter, son-in-law, Susan and Roger Byrne, Lincoln; grandsons, spouses: Ben and Judy Wilcox, Troy, Mo.; Tim and Joelle Byrne, Waverly; great granddaughter: Eloise Grace Wilcox; many nieces and nephews in Texas; special friends the Greening family, Pam Freudenburg, and Mindy Goldberg.

Preceded in death by husband Max, parents, brother Donald Owens, sisters Sarah Payne, Aleene Breazeale, and great grandson Jace Lee Byrne.

Funeral service: 11 a.m. Friday (9-23-11) Roper and Sons Chapel, 4300 'O' Street. Pastor James Wallasky, officiating.

Visitation: 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, with family greeting friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., funeral home.
