Louverna Greene
November 19, 1922 - March 21, 2008

Funeral services will be held in the Erickson & Brown Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday morning at 11:00 a.m. for Taft resident Louverna Greene, 85. Private interment in the West Side District Cemetery will take place at a later date.

Mrs. Greene was born in Oak Grove, Louisiana on November 19, 1922 and passed away in Bakersfield on March 21, 2008. Mrs. Greene had lived in Kern County since 1947 and for the last several years she had lived at Heritage Park. She enjoyed the company of Heritage Park residents and treasured the friends she made there.

Mrs. Greene was preceded in death by her husband Roy A. Greene and her daughter, Patty Cook. Her survivors include Patty's husband, Jim Cook and their children, Christine, Allen and Jamie; her son and his wife, Randolph and Shella Greene and their children, Heather and Garrett; her daughter and her husband, Gloria and Gene Rogers and their children, Joe and Natalie; her son, Rodney Greene and his son Michael and Kris Greene and their children, Aaron and Katie; her 17 great grandchildren and her sister, Willie Belle Teater.

Friends are invited to pay their respects on Friday from 3:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and again on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to service time at the Erickson & Brown Funeral Home.
