L. L. “Cotton” Tyler

HAUGHTON, LA - Services for Mr. L. L. “Cotton” Tyler will be held in the chapel of Hill Crest Funeral Home, Tuesday, April 11, 2000, at 10 a.m. Officiating the service will be Mr. Carl Barr. Interment will be at Hill Crest Memorial Park.

The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Monday evening from 6-8 p.m. Mr. Tyler passed away Saturday morning, April 8, 2000 in a local hospital. Mr. Tyler was born on November 11, 1915, in Dodson, LA.

He was a 32nd degree Mason and a Shriner for over 50 years. Mr. Tyler was also a member of the American Legion for over 52 years, and a life member of the V.F.W. Post 5951. Mr. Cotton was an avid golfer and loved to fish. He was in the auto repair and appraisal insurance business all of his life. Mr. Tyler served his country with pride and honor. He was a veteran of WWII.

He is survived by his loving wife, Julie Tyler of Haughton; son, Jimmy Tyler and wife, Mary of Shreveport; granddaughter, Terri Horton and husband, David of Shreveport; step-sons, Russ Staton and wife, Peggy of Thombay, Alaska, Larry Staton of Haughton, and two great grandchildren.

Family and many friends will miss him all over the state of Louisiana.
