Loy S. Whittington

MEADVILLE -- Services for Loy S. Whittington, 98, of Meadville, who died Friday, May 26, 2000, at Franklin Memorial Hospital, will be at 3 p.m. today at Franklin Funeral Home.

Burial will be at Midway Cemetery in Meadville under the direction of Franklin Memorial Hospital.

Visitation is from 1 a.m. until service time today at Franklin Funeral Home Chapel.

Mrs. Whittington was born Sept. 5, 1901, in Franklin County, the daughter of Robert F. and Elizabeth Parker Smith.

She was a homemaker and attended Mount Olive Methodist Church.

Mrs. Whittington was preceded in death by her husband, Truly Whittington; her parents; one daughter; five brothers; and one sister.

Survivors include two sisters, Callie Hunt of Meadville and Nellie Poole of Natchez, and a number of nieces and nephews.
