Lucille ``Lucy'' Monk
January 7, 1924 - July 30, 2009

Lucille ``Lucy'' Monk 85, of Port Arthur, passed away Thursday July 30, 2009 in Port Arthur.

Funeral service will be 11:00 A.M. Monday, August 3, 2009 at Broussard's in Nederland with Rev. Steve Hays officiating. Entombment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves. A gathering of family and friends will be from 5 to 8 PM Sunday at the mortuary.

Mrs. Monk was a native of Houston and lived most of her life in Port Arthur. She retired from Dr. J.B. Eitel office as a Physician Assistant with 40 years of service. She was also a member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Nederland.

Mrs. Monk was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer H. Monk. She is survived by her son, Rocky Monk and wife Linda of Port Arthur; two daughters, Cheryl Kesterson and husband David of Denton, and Terri McFarlin and husband Don of Port Arthur; her grandsons, Troy Monk, and Clint McFarlin; step grandsons, Todd and Chad Kesterson; her granddaughters, Traci Monk Woodard, Jodi McFarlin Green, Jana McFarlin; four great grandsons, five great granddaughters, and four step-great granddaughters; two brothers, Guerry Hahn and wife Bea of Anahuac, and Guy Hahn Jr. and wife Maurine of California; two sisters, Jean Morgan and husband Gene of The Woodlands, and Beverly Carroll and husband Rudy of Deer Park. Also surviving Mrs. Monk are her numerous nieces and nephews.
