Lucille Terrell Dark

START - Services for Lucille Terrell Dark were held Monday in Start Baptist Church with the Revs. Jeff Smart and Bob Halloway officiating. Burial was in Start Cemetery under direction of Mulhearn, Rayville.

She was a native of Winn Parish and graduated from Dodson High School in 1928 as valedictorian. She had resided in Start since 1938 and was an active member of Start Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school for 50 years. She was active in all mission activities.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Shelby Dark; parents, Ed and Mae Brown Terrell; and four sisters, Vera St. John, Myrtle Kelly, Martha Burrell and Jeanne Smith.

Survivors include two daughters, Thelma Deal and Shirley Woodard, both of Springhill; two sons, Shelby S. Dark Jr. of Littleton, Colo., and Will Dark of West Monroe; one sister, Jessie Boulas of Dallas; nine grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Fred Sapp, Wade Temple, Billy Whitten, Ben Robinson, William T. Moore and Mitch Reddick.
