Luella Roberts
Luella J. “Lue” (nee Schneider) Roberts, age 100, of O'Fallon, Illinois, was born on September 14, 1912, in Summerfield, Illinois, and died on December 13, 2012, at Cedar Ridge Health & Rehab Center in Lebanon, Illinois. Ms. Roberts was a retired homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur “Chub” Roberts on February 8, 2003, whom she married in Marshall, Illinois, on June 10, 1932; her daughter, Shirley (Roberts) Wilhoit; her parents, Conrad & Freiderica Schneider; two brothers, Arnold and Walter Schneider and five sisters Verena Rutzke, Freida Therion, Edna Songer, Irene Schneider and Mildred Emrick.
Luella is survived by one brother-in-law, George “Babe” Roberts, of Braintree, Massachusetts; five grandchildren, Rick (Claire) Wilhoit of Eldon, Missouri, Valeri Kelly of O'Fallon, Illinois, Corby (Renate) Wilhoit of Eschenbach, Germany, Toby (Shelly Renkemeyer) Wilhoit of Jefferson City, Missouri, and Tom (Andrea) Wilhoit of Blue Springs, Missouri; eleven great-grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
From June 2003 until January 2009, Luella resided at the O'Fallon Apartments on Weber Road in O'Fallon, Illinois. From January 2009 through March 2009, she resided at the Cambridge House in O'Fallon, Illinois. From March 2009 until her death, she resided at Cedar Ridge Health and Rehab Center in Lebanon, Illinois.

Visitation will be held Saturday, December 22, 2012 from 9-10 am at Schildknecht Funeral Home and Cremation Services, O'Fallon, IL.
Funeral service will be Saturday, December 22, 2012 at 10:00 am at the funeral home with Rev. Dr. Martha Thierheimer officiating.
Burial will be at Lakeview Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, IL.
