Mrs. Thurman Lewis
Mrs. Thurman Lewis of 1520 Belmont St., died Thursday at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. Services are 2 p.m. today at Wright & Ferguson Funeral Home chapel with burial in Lakewood Memorial Park.
A native of Shubuta, she was educated at the University of Southern Mississippi and was a former resident of Hattiesburg, Greenwood, and Tulsa, Okla. She had been a resident of Jackson since 1945. She was an active member of Galloway Memorial United Methodist Church. She was also a member of Amity Luncheon Club.
She is survived by her husband, Thurman Lewis; son, Dr. Earl T. Lewis of Villanova, Penn.; brother, John Eugene Hargrove of Jackson; sisters, Glinda Hargrove of Jackson and Eunice H. Boggan of Birmingham, Ala.; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
