Funeral services were to be at 2 p.m. today at Baskin Baptist Church in Baskin for Mrs. Lula Mae Smith, 72, of 206 Pine St., Monroe.
The Rev. Carl Barnes was to officiate assisted by the Rev. Pruitt with burial at Union Church Cemetery near Baskin under direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Monroe.
She died at St. Francis Hospital Sunday night after a short illness.
Survivors include one sister, Mrs. Zelma Hansel of DelPre [sic Belpre], Ohio, and 20 nephews and nieces.
