Lula Mae Talbert
Services for Lula Mae Talbert, 89, of Crowville were held Tuesday at
the chapel of Community Memorial Funeral Home with the Rev.
Charles Davis officiating.
Interment followed at Providence Memorial Cemetery under the
direction of Community Memorial Funeral Home of Winnsboro.
Mrs. Talbert died Sunday, Feb. 1, 1998 at Franklin Medical Center.
She was a resident of Franklin Parish, a homemaker and a member
of First Baptist Church Crowville.
Mrs. Talbert is preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Talbert.
Survivors include three daughters, Hazel Cowan, Walker; Mildred
Sullivan, Winnsboro; Grace Hayden, Alexandria; grandchildren,
Dorothy McBride, Baton Rouge; Sherry Martin, Shreveport; Janice
Hayden, Alexandria; Frankie Kirkwood, Clinton; Abbie Montgomery,
Denham Springs; Mary Lemoine, Alexandria; great-grandchildren,
Miriam Martin, Elizabeth Lemoine, Darwyn Williams, Russell Wiliams,
Curtis Baxter, Melissa Baxter; great-great-grandchildren, Wesley and
Anna; two sisters, Dorothy Duffie, Jacksonville, Fla.; Beryl Riggins,
Monroe.
Pallbearers were J. W. Dean, Mike Grimer, Johnnie Montgomery,
Buddy Jennings, Don Franklin, and John Carroll.
Honorary pallbearers were grandchildren and Troy Temple.
