MRS. L. L. CAMPBELL
Mrs. L. L. (Lula) Campbell, 72, of Louin, died Tuesday at Heart[h]side Haven Nursing Home following a brief illness.
The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday from Memory Chapel. The burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery. The Rev. D. L. Sabell [sic Savell] will officiate.
Mrs. Campbell was a lifelong resident of Jasper County. She was a homemaker. She had been a patient at Jasper General Hospital in Bay Springs for the past week. She was a member of Palestine Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leslie L. “Bay” Campbell, who died June 27, 1983.
She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. James C. (Doris) Montgomery of Louin; one son, Ralph L. Campbell of Laurel; her father, E. G. Rayner of Laurel; three brothers, Artis Rayner of Gulfport, Roscoe Rayner of Louin and Ernest Rayner of Meridian; four grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
The pallbearers will be M. L. McNeil, Houston Halford, Tommy Diaz, Walter Brady Jr., Lavon Smith, Edward Smith.
Visitation will be after 5 p.m. today at Memory Chapel, which is in charge of arrangements.
