MRS. J. I. WALKER

WAYNESBORO, Miss. -- Mrs. J. I. Walker, 67, well known matron of Goldwood community, died unexpectedly of a heart attack in Wayne General hospital here Sunday, just after having been discharged following surgery.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete, pending hearing from relatives.

Mrs. Walker was a life long resident of Wayne County and was formerly Miss Lula Vinson, daughter of the [late] Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Vinson of Wayne County. She was a member of the Liberty Baptist church and active in church affairs until health failed. She had been a teacher in the Sunday School of the church. Her husband died two years ago.

She leaves five sons: Bernice Walker of Waynesboro; Luther Walker of Cross City, Fla.; J. I. Walker, Jr. of Texas; Calvin Walker of the Armed Forces; and Willie Gray Walker of Pascagoula; four daughters: Mrs. Webb Fillman of Tampa, Fla.; Mrs. Wilton Welch of Mobile; Mrs. Frances Riley and Mrs. Robert Douglas of Odessa, Texas; 13 grandchildren; two brothers, M. W. Vinson of Hattiesburg, and Jow [sic Joe?] W. Vinson of Waynesboro.
