Funeral services for Mrs. Lurline Aday Burke, 76, of West Monroe, LA will be at 2:00 PM, Thursday, September 8, 2005 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home, West Monroe, LA. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Calhoun, LA. Officiating will be Rev. Albert J. Burke, Rev. Donald J. Burke, and Rev. Mark Foster, under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home, West Monroe, LA.
Mrs. Burke was born September 2, 1929 in Monroe, LA and passed away September 4, 2005 in West Monroe, LA.
Mrs. Burke was retired from Ouachita Parish School Board as custodian with over twenty-three years of service. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Leon Aday, and a daughter, Elizabeth Ann Kelly.
She is survived by husband, William “Bill” Burke, Sr., five children: Pamela Flemister and husband Greg, Martin “Tony” Aday and wife Alice, Robert Aday and wife Michelle, Jerry Aday and wife Glenda, and Paul Aday; three step-children: William J. Burke, Jr., Terrence D. Burke, and Eva D. Edwards; sisters: Patricia “Pat” Johnson, Carolyn Wheeler, Barbara Brashears; twenty-seven grandchildren, twenty-nine great grandchildren, three step-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers: Donald Rice, Richard Kelly Jr., Joe Kelly, Scott Almond, Jerry Aday Jr. and Paul Aday Jr.
Honorary pallbearers will be Wamul R. Owens, Roy Lee Simms.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Kilpatrick Funeral Home, West Monroe.
