Lurline Watson Bailey

(May 17, 1928 - March 11, 2005)

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday in Winnsboro, Louisiana, for Lurline Watson Bailey, 76, of Kinmundy, with interment at Central Baptist Church Cemetery in Wisner, Louisiana.

Watson died at 8:55 a.m. on Friday, March 11, at the Doctors Health and Rehabilitation Center in Salem. She was born on May 17, 1928, in Wisner, Louisiana, the daughter of West F. and Juddie Magee Watson. She married Oscar Wilson Nettles and he preceded her in death. She then married Floyd Leroy Bailey and he preceded her in death.

Watson was the executive secretary for Mississippi Co-Op and later the head of advertising and promotion for the state of Mississippi Agriculture Department. She was the valedictorian of her high school class and was a graphic artist.

Survivors include: one daughter, Mary Nettles Jensen and husband Jack of Salem; one granddaughter, Amber Nettles Jensen of Chicago; three step-grandchildren, Jean Jensen Rowley of California, James Jensen of California and Sue Anne Jensen of Chicago; and four great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Central Baptist Church in Wisner, Louisiana, and may be left at Rogers-Atkins Funeral Home in Salem, which is in charge of local arrangements.
