Services for Mr. Luther A. Branch, 94, of West Monroe, La. will be held 2:00 P.M. Saturday, October 13, 2001 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home of West Monroe, La. with Rev. Karl Klaus officiating, burial will be at Hasley Cemetery.
Mr. Branch died October 10, 2001 at the Summit Hospital.
Mr. Branch was a lifelong and very active member of the First United Methodist Church in West Monroe, La., serving as church treasurer for a number of years. He was a charter member of the board of directors of the Glenwood Regional Medical Center. He retired as Production Manager with Olinkraft Paper Company with 45 years of service. Mr. Branch was a lifetime member of the Hogue Island Hunting Club, where he loved to spend time in the outdoors hunting and fishing.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Mrs. Pearl K. Branch.
Survivors: Son and daughter-in-law, Bob and Montez W. Branch of Calhoun, La.; Grandson, Steve Branch of Lake Charles, La.; Granddaughters, Terri Kiwett and her husband, Tad of LaPlace, La., Sue Ellen Landauer and her husband, Steve of Bettendorf, Iowa and Marci Bagwell and her husband, Roger of Lafayette, La., 4 Great Grandchildren, Krystal, Lance, McKensey and Chelsea, numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Billy McClendon, Clyde Albritton, Tom Hutson, C. M. Gilbert, Bud Jenkins and Duncan Simmons. Honorary pallbearers will be Ross Golson and Dr. Arthur Liles.
Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe, La.
Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church Building Fund in West Monroe, La.
