Luther Diffey Rites to Be Held Monday

Luther Earl Diffey, 43, of 100 Riverview Circle, Bossier City, died at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at a local hospital after a long illness.

He was a native of Haughton, but had resided in Bossier City for the past four years.

Mr. Diffey was a veteran of World War II, and was a member of the Waller Baptist Church of Bossier City.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday a the Rose-Neath Chapel with the Rev. W. D. Stogner, pastor of the Waller Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in the Gwin Cemetery at Mangham, La.

Pallbearers will be W. A. Calcote, Charles Neilson, M. G. Wilder, Eddie Love, Waylan Dickson, and B. W. Swint.

Mr. Diffey is survived by his widow; one daughter, Linda Diffey, both of Bossier City; two sons, Donald and L. E. Diffey, both of Shreveport; two stepsons, Delmar Hawkins, Bossier City, and Jerry Hawkins, stationed with the U.S. Air Force in England; one brother, John Diffey, Shreveport; three sisters, Mrs. Bryant Musser, Shreveport, Mrs. Frank Cook, Fillmore, and Miss Pearl Diffey, of Springhill.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at the Rose-Neath Chapel for Luther Earl Diffey, 43, of 100 Riverview Circle, Bossier City.

Mr. Diffey died in a local hospital Saturday after a long illness.

The Rev. W. D. Stogner, pastor of the Waller Baptist Church of Bossier City, of which Mr. Diffey was a member, will officiate. Burial will be in the Gwin Cemetery at Mangham, La.
