LUTHER ELMO MCCARTY
Luther Elmo McCarty, 71, of Florence, Ala., died Thursday, March 12, 1992, at Eliza Coffee Memorial Hospital in Florence.
The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday from Greenview Funeral Home in Florence, Ala., with graveside services at the Rowan Cemetery in Lowndes County. Rev. Donnie McDaniel will officiate.
He was a native of Jasper County and a member of Underwood Baptist Church in Florence, Ala. He was retired from American Cyanamid Lederle Labs after 30 years of service. He was a graduate of Mississippi State University.
He is survived by his wife, Frances McCarty of Florence, Ala.; one daughter, Katrina Rhudy of Vernon, Ala.; two brothers, Lambert McCarty of Stringer, and Lamar McCarty of Laurel; one granddaughter and a number of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 7-9 p.m. today at Greenview Funeral Home in Florence, Ala., which is in charge of arrangements.
