Luther F. Arender

Luther F. Arender, 89, died, Monday, June 11, 2007, at Mississippi State Veterans Home in Kosciusko. Visitation will be 6 -8 p.m. today at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton. Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 13, 2007, at the funeral home with burial in Polkville Pentecostal Cemetery.

Mr. Arender was born on November 10, 1917, in Simpson County to Mr. Noll F. Arender and Mrs. Letha Dukes Arender. He was raised in Smith County and graduated high school in Puckett and had attended Jones Jr. College.

Mr. Arender married Helen Hutson on April 3, 1940. He was a US Army Veteran of WW II. He then was employed by the City of Jackson as a fireman.

Mr. Arender was a member of Rock Bluff Baptist Church and had attended Polkville Pentecostal Church. He love to garden and specialized in tomatoes.

Survivors include his daughter, Jane Love and her husband, J.D. Of Polkville; sons, Randall Arender and wife, Evonne of Madison County, Frank Arender and wife, Wanda of Brandon, and Eddie Arender and wife Rita of Polkville; three sisters, Irene Calhoun, Jimmie Lee Patrick and Earline Gray all of Puckett; brother, Wayne Arender of Vicksburg; and 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
