LUTHER MONROE LEE
BENSON -- Mr. Luther Monroe Lee, 86, of 129 Monroe Lane, died Wednesday at Betsy Johnson Memorial Hospital, Dunn.
Funeral service will be 3 p.m. Friday at Trinity Baptist Church. Revs. Robert Capps and Hubert Morgan will officiate. Burial will follow in Monroe Lee Family Cemetery.
Mr. Lee was born in Johnston County, September 30, 1910, to the late Jasper and Rozella Johnson Lee. Mr. Lee was a farmer and local businessman who was very involved in the Meadow Community.
Mr. Lee was preceded in death by his wife, Frankie Hammond Lee, and his son, Luther James ``Jimmy'' Lee.
Survivors include: son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth and Amelia Lee of Benson; daughter-in-law, Ella Grace Lee of Benson; sisters, Clyde L. Hudson and Vira L. Freeman, both of Benson and granddaughters, Beth Lee Hockaday, Henrietta Lee Hines, Joy Lou Lee, Amanda Kaye Lee, and Kim Lee Peacock and four great-grandchildren.
Family will be at Rose & Graham Funeral Home, Benson from 7-9 p.m. Thursday.
