Luther I. Rayman, age 86, died on Monday, July 13, 2009, at the Veteran's Nursing Home in Oxford, MS.
Graveside services will be held today at 2:00 p.m. at Evergreen Cemetery in North Carrollton, MS.
He was born in Minter City where he spent most of his life. Mr. Rayman owned and operated a Grocery store in Minter City until he retired. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He moved to Carrollton, MS after his retirement.
He is survived by stepson, George Goodnight of Clarksdale, MS; grandsons, Trip Davis, Josh Davis and George "Bubba" Goodnight; and several great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lora Goodnight Rayman; his parents; a daughter, Mary Lou Rayman Davis; and two brothers, Gerald and Sonny Rayman.
