Rites Today For Wife Of Doctor

Funeral services for Mrs. Lydia (Gaar) Bennett, 48, of San Augustine, Tex., who died at 12:30 a.m. yesterday in a local hospital after a long illness, will be conducted at 11 a.m. today in San Augustine.

Mrs. Bennett was the wife of Dr. Noel T. Bennett, who practices both in Shreveport as a member of the P & S Hospital staff and in San Augustine.

The rites will be conducted at the Wyman and Roberts Funeral Home in San Augustine. Burial will be at 4 p.m. at the Memorial Park cemetery in Tyler, Tex.

A member of the San Augustine First Methodist Church, Mrs. Bennett is a native of Dodson.

Survivors besides her husband include four sons, Kenneth of Shreveport and Joseph, Noel and George of San Augustine; a daughter, Miss Gaar Bennett of San Augustine; her mother, Mrs. W. M. Gaar of Tyler, Tex.; two brothers, Kermit A. Gaar of Shreveport and Harold Gaar of Raceland; and three sisters, Mrs. Aloah Deason and Mrs. Marjorie Lowery of Tyler and Mrs. Gladys Gaar of Dallas, Tex.
