LYDIA IRENE REYNOLDS
Lydia Irene Reynolds, 89, of Muir, passed away in Ionia Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2002.
She was born Oct. 9, 1913 in Hubbardston, the daughter of Hugh and Amy
(Nichols) Allen. She attended Daniels Country School. Lydia married Max
Reynolds Feb. 5, 1938. He preceded her in death in 1998.
She was a member of the Lyons Muir Church where she played the organ for
years. She was a life member and past Matron of Evergreen Chapter #334 OES of
Lyons and a member of Golden Years Club.
She is survived by her children, Roberta (Dan) Lake of Ionia and William
(Mary) Reynolds of Muir; brothers, Robert (Rosemary) Allen of Royal Oak and
Harvey (Shirley) Allen of Florida; sisters-in-law, Mary Allen of Matherton and
Betty Allen of Nebraska; five (grand)children; nine great-grandchildren; many
nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Lloyd, Henry, Russel
and Rollin.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday at Lyons Muir Church with
Rev. Scott Ottis officiating. The family will receive friends and family from 2
to 4 and 7 to 8:30 p.m. Friday at Lake Funeral Home in Muir.
