Yelverton, Lydia Kelly
A retired employee with the Louisiana Department of the Treasury, she died at 8 a.m. Friday, Feb. 23, 2007, at her home in Baton Rouge. She was 100 and a native of Sikes. Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home, 825 Government St., on Tuesday, Feb. 27, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., and in the chapel on Wednesday from 8:30 a.m. until religious service at 10 a.m.
She is survived by three daughters, Leatrice ``Apple'' Kring, Shirley Skillin and Juanice Ray and husband Jay; and nine grandchildren, Karen Prestridge, Kris Kring, Richard Ray, Jamey Skillin, Denise Donnelly, Roger Yelverton, Brenda Yelverton, Lisa Yelverton and Peggy Tafoyer.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Mary Virginia Yelverton; a son, Wallace Yelverton; a granddaughter, Becky Skillin; two grandsons, Russell Ray and Jackson Yelverton; and a great-great-granddaughter, Amber Michelle Ray.
