Lynda S. Mercer Rayner

Lynda S. Mercer Rayner, 60, of Ellisville, died Saturday, June 20, 2009, at Jones County Rest Home.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday June 22, in the chapel of Memory Chapel with burial in the Bethany Cemetery in Jasper County. Rev Nonnie Jefcoat will officiate.

She was a homemaker and member of Plainway Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James A Rayner Sr.; parents, Walter and Mary Voncile Mercer; sister, Deborah A Blue. She was a member of Plainway Baptist Church and she was a homemaker.

She is survived by one daughter, Regina Boyd and husband Daniel of Ellisville; one son, James W (Bubba) Rayner of Ellisville; five grandchildren, Santana Bolton, Tiffany King, Daniel Boyd Jr., all of Ellisville, and Devon T. Rayner and Shawn W. Rayner, both of Moselle; three sisters, Patsy Jones and husband Norris of Vancleave, Bonnie Blackledge and husband Ed of Ovett, and Dianne Dial and husband Tommie of Laurel; brother, Walter F. Mercer Jr. of Vancleave; and host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Frankie Williams, Calvin Hill, Jeremy Thomas, Charles Ivey, Walter Jordon, and Wayne Rayner. Honorary pallbearer will be Tommie Dial.
