GLOSTER -- Services for Lyndel Estelle Caston, 89, of Amite County, who died Sunday, March 9, 2014, in Baton Rouge, will be at 11 a.m. today at Brown Funeral Home in Gloster, with the Rev. Robert Hawke and the Rev. Ernest Whittington officiating.

Burial will follow in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery under the direction of Brown Funeral Home.

Mrs. Caston was born April 4, 1924, the daughter of Edwin “Bud” Jackson and Rochie Crum Jackson.

Mrs. Caston was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 65 years, C.L. Caston; and one brother, Jewell Jackson.

Survivors include two daughters, Arlevia Caston Martin and companion, Lloyd Crooks, and Joyce Caston Kaiser and husband, Clem; five grandchildren, Kelly Elveston and wife, Courtney, Michael Vinson and wife, Tamra, Jason Vinson, Sharron Coleman and husband, David, and Lynde Vinson; nine great-grandchildren, Sharrlee McLemore, Darron Coleman, Braxtyn Elveston, Rory Vinson, Micah Vinson, Jameson Vinson, Adeline Vinson, Axel Elveston and Jagger Elveston; one great-great-granddaughter, Riana McLemore; and two brothers, David E. Jackson and Phillip Jackson.

Pallbearers will be Michael Vinson, Jason Vinson, Darron Coleman, Kelly Elveston, David Brown and Brian Sunday.

Honorary pallbearers will be Clem Kaiser and Lloyd Crooks.
