Lynn Holmes
(August 4, 1956 - January 26, 2011)

Funeral services for Lynn Holmes, 54, of Clarks, will be held at 1 PM Saturday, January 29, 2011 from the chapel of Riser Funeral Home in Columbia with Rev. Jack McKeithen officiating. Interment will follow at Welcome Home Cemetery in Grayson. Visitation will be Friday from 5-8 PM at the funeral home and Saturday from 10 AM until service time.

Lynn was born August 4, 1956 in Columbia, LA to Lewis and Jimmie Holmes and he joined his Lord and Savior on January 26, 2011 after a lengthy battle with cancer.

He worked 35 years for Canal Barge Company. He served as a Firefighter for the Clarks Volunterr Fire Department and Rescue Unit. He was a member of the Columbia Masonic Lodge #164. He was a loving husband, father brother, and friend. To know him was to love him. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother: Michael Holmes.

Survivors include his wife of 20 years: Becky Holmes; children: Aaron and Roselyn Holmes of Lincoln, NE; Marie and Andy Huth of Cincinnati, OH; Stacey Allbritton and Chris Painter of West Monroe; Chris Hall of Lexington, KY; Karen and Jared Brice of Houston, TX; Betsy Holmes of Clarks; siblings: Gary and Phyllis Holmes of Clarks and Lisa and Mac Anderson of West Monroe; grandchildren: Laura Holmes, Taylor King, Brianna Holmes, Kaitlyn Brice, and Thomas Brice.

Pallbearers will be the brothers of the Columbia Masonic Lodge #164.
